About Me

I began sewing as a child, then in 2011, I took a quilting class at my high school. I made several full-size quilts for family members in the years following. In 2020 I made my first baby quilt and I was hooked! I love how baby quilts and throw quilts are a less monumental endeavor than creating a full-size quilt. It allows me to create a wide variety of very different designs and patterns in a shorter period of time. I have made dozens of baby quilts since I began Sunshine Quilts in the summer of 2020. Outside of my quilting, I am an elementary school teacher from Maine. I love to read and spend time outdoors. Please check out my past work, and contact me if you'd like to order a custom quilt.
